Riley is 7 months!

Riley is 7 months!! It's crazy that it's been that long! Time is just flying. She is so fun and is really starting to show her personality. I never got around to updating her stats last month, but the important thing is that her head is in the 99th percentile. She has a big head. Here is her update for 7 months...

  • She loves to move around on the floor. She's not crawling yet, but she keeps trying. She can do a little bit of an army crawl, but she'd rather crawl on all fours. So she is focused on that rather than army crawling. She still can't coordinate getting on her knees with her head up, but as soon as she figures that out, she will be mobile! (well, more mobile than she is now).
  • She has 8 teeth. She has quite the collection. There may be one or two more coming in, but I haven't checked very closely yet.
  • She still loves her pacifier and her blankets.
  • She is working on sleeping in the crib. She starts in it at night, but will only sleep in it for a couple hours at a time. It's a process. But she's getting better at being placed in it. Hopefully we get it perfected one day.
  • Her favorite food is apples. She really enjoyed the apple, mango, kiwi blend.
  • We learned she may be allergic to strawberries. She tired strawberry banana yogurt and loved it, but later that night we had to call the on-call doctor (it was a Sunday night of course) and give her a dose of Benedryl because she was swelling. She did not like the Benedryl, but she was funny after she took it. She prefers her strawberry flavored Tylenol.
  • She loves Pepsi cans. There is a picture of that later.
  • She got her first pair of sunglasses and cannot get enough of them. She thinks they are fantastic. She loves to wear them and also loves to play with them.
  • She's sitting by herself much better. She still tips over sometimes but not very often. She doesn't like falling over and discovering she is on the floor again. But she can get from sitting to belly without falling. She's okay when that happens.
  • She is constantly rolling her tongue. It's her favorite noise to make. She just enjoys playing with her tongue in general. It's always sticking out, unless I pull out the camera, then it goes back inside.
  • She is developing stranger anxiety. Unless you are mom or dad you are not allowed to hold, touch or play with her. (she made those rules herself)
  • She loves pulling on mom's hair. Mom doesn't like it.
  • She started waking up 3 or 4 times a night. Mom doesn't like that either.
  • She loves shopping trips. She likes to touch everything while we are out. She has to have something to hold onto while we are at the store.
That is what Riley is up to. Not much else is happening. Richard started school again last week and has his first test this weekend. He's still working at Codale and really enjoys it. He loves seeing his coworkers and sometimes sees them outside of work for boating or other activities. I'm staying at home with Riley and we try to have fun. She recently discovered bubbles are kind of cool and she likes the grass. I'm working on crocheting a blanket for her for Christmas and am thinking about training for a 5K. I recently got a new bike and have enjoyed going for bike rides in the evenings with Richard and Riley.  And now for some pictures! This is what everyone comes for...(I'm sorry they are small... I will work on that next time.)
